Happy New Year!
White Rose Batteries

In the fall of 1953 Canadian Oil Companies began marketing their own brand of car, truck, and tractor batteries. "Genuine Hard Rubber Battery Boxes" were embossed with the new wedge logo. The lead straps joining the cells on top of the battery were also embossed with "W.R" and "White Rose."
Combining advertising and function, a wire handle was added to topless, empty cases to form a battery service kit for carrying battery tools and testers to the car or display on the pump island.
Later, batteries were produced in a generic case with a White Rose decal on the side.
The N.O.S battery shown is rated at 100 amp/hours and was originally priced at $24.00 including a 10% sales tax.
